Manchester United have agreed to buy Antony from Ajax for €100 million.

Erik Ten Hag wants the Brazilian to strengthen his striking options. The manager has Jadon Sancho, Marcus Rashford, Anthony Elanga, Anthony Martial and Cristiano Ronaldo.

The fee for Antony surpasses the £80 million United paid Leicester to sign Harry Maguire in July 2019 but falls short of the £93.2 million spent on Pogba in August 2016.

Arsenal will loan Nicolas Pepe to Nice.

Pepe's departure is a reflection of his minimal impact since making a club-record £72 million move from Lille in 2019.

Pepe has scored 27 goals in 112 appearances but started just five games last season as manager Mikel Arteta preferred Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli and Emile Smith Rowe among others in Arsenal's wide positions.

Newcastle United have agreed to sign striker Alexander Isak from Real Sociedad for €70 million including €5m in add-ons.

Isak joined Sociedad in the summer of 2019 from Borussia Dortmund for €10m and, after spending four years at the club, becomes Sociedad's most expensive departure of all time.

Isak is set to become Newcastle's fifth arrival this summer, with Matt Targett, Nick Pope, Sven Botman and Charlie McArthur also moving to St James' Park.

Chelsea suffered a convincing 3-0 loss to Leeds on Sunday, but Thomas Tuchel downplayed the necessity to make signings ahead of the end of the transfer window.

Tuchel has previously said Chelsea were looking to bolster their ranks before the end of the transfer window, with a central defender and a striker the priorities, but would not resort to panic buying.

"The transfer period is still open and it gets later and later and we need to focus on what we have and what we can do," Tuchel told reporters after the match at Leeds.

Carlo Ancelotti conceded Casemiro wants to join Manchester United.

Casemiro, 30, is expected to receive a substantial pay increase at United, who have been looking to strengthen their squad after losing the first two games of the Premier League season.

"I talked about it with [Casemiro] this morning," Ancelotti said in a news conference on Friday ahead of Madrid's LaLiga game at Celta Vigo. "He wants to try a new challenge, a new opportunity. The club and I understand it. Casemiro -- with what he's done at this club, and with the person he is -- we have to respect this desire he has.

"There are negotiations right now. Nothing is official, he's still a Real Madrid player, but he wants to leave. If he goes and reaches an agreement, we have the resources to replace him."

Nottingham Forest have agreed a club-record deal to sign Morgan Gibbs-White from Wolves. The winger will cost £35 million ($42 million) plus add-ons.

The 22-year-old impressed in the Championship last season on loan at Sheffield United.

The arrival of Gibbs-White means Forest are not pursuing a deal for Brighton’s Neal Maupay despite making an offer for the striker last week.

Wesley Fofana has told Leicester City he wants to be allowed to join Chelsea. 

Leicester have rejected two bids from Chelsea and are holding out for more than £80 million, which would make Fofana the most expensive defender in the world. 

They are aware it could take at least £85m to convince Leicester to sell. Sources have indicated Chelsea will eventually meet Leicester’s asking price.

Manchester City have signed Sergio Gomez from Anderlecht.

The deal with Anderlecht is worth €13 million plus add-ons.

"I am incredibly proud and happy to have joined Manchester City," said Gomez, who has represented Spain at Under-21 level.

Everton has rejected an improved bid from Chelsea for Anthony Gordon.

Chelsea initially offered £40 million and then improved the offer to £45 million ($54 million).

Chelsea will now decide whether to make a third offer for England under-21 winger Gordon, who has previously attracted interest from Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United.

Sources have told ESPN that Everton value Gordon well in excess of £50m but would prefer to keep him given they have already lost Richarlison to Tottenham this summer.

Everton has rejected a £40 million ($48 million) bid from Chelsea for Anthony Gordon.

Gordon has also received interest from Tottenham and Newcastle. 

Thomas Tuchel believes Gordon could fill one of the three attacking positions in his 3-4-2-1 system.

Everton are continuing to insist the 21-year-old is not available for transfer, and Chelsea will now consider whether to make an improved offer.
